These are off labels of my favorite soups. Great Value is the brand of these soups but even if you had Cambels or anything else they wouldnt be much different.

That's not really so many calories if that's what you are looking at. An average apple, potato or egg all have about 100 calories. I think a piece of buttered bread is approx the same. One tablespoon of butter/margarine/oil or mayo also has 100 calories. Peanut butter is pretty much there too. So really, a nice bowl of soup isn't so bad. The salt on the other hand...

If you're unhappy with what you read on the labels (and you don't report the ingredients of these soups... any E numbers? Preservatives? Colourings?), you could always make your own soups. It's dead easy!

Red is right. I do make my own soup with one exception: I keep canned Mushroom soup on hand because I use it in roasts. Chicken soup is real easy to make and for good recipes you can google "Chicken soup recipes". Because we are tomato growers we naturally make a lot of our own tomato soup.
