A Sunday Afternoon Walk.

Hi all here was our weekend. Saturday Jeff worked and we didnt do a thing and yesterday we took a walk along The Fox River. They built a trail a few years back and we walk so far and then turn around and come back. The trail is used for bikes, roller blades, and walking.

We saw a couple of really cool dogs yesterday. This one had a face as big as a St. Benard. He was just a Yellow Lab though. I was so bored until we went for our walk. I had crocheted all day Saturday and didnt want to spend my Sunday the same way. So here are some photo's.

Here are the girls. I mean its Oct 21st and we are wearing shorts!!!! Really beautiful day. Glad we got out.

Daddy and his girls.

Mommy and her girls. LOL..

Jeff and I. You dont get him to pose for to many photo's and Kora took her first photo yesterday.

It was a wonderful day. I cant complain. My back hurt when we started out but by time we sat back down in the car my aches and pains had went away. I just think I needed the walk yesterday. Sometimes I notice if I walk a bit they tend to go away. When I was 15 I was diagnosed with Scoliosis. Curvature of the spine. And I think it acts up once in a while. More often than not really. So I cant sit still when my back hurts.

Some of you are wondering how my Pen Pal deal is going. Great for that matter. I have been meaning to update that really and keep forgetting. Thanks Ortho for reminding me.

I have all the names out and done except for a handful of them. Richard sent me his book he wrote about himself and his wife. I will do a book review when I am done but if you want a preview here is the name of the book. Jodi, The Greates Love Story Ever Told by Richard M. Brodsky.

I am very pleased and happy I have met him through his foundation. If any of you want to make a donation of any sorts just go to his sight. Its the RichardMBrodskyFoundation.org. I think. I will have to look in my e-mail again. I didnt link it this time.

I am so proud that I made some kids a friend in Kenya Africa. I have been busy making four afghans for four 2 year olds in Kenya when Richard and Jodi go at the end of November. They are going to give them to four 2 year olds when they go over for a Marathon. So that is what is going on here. Life is busy like usual. the girls are good as you can see. LOL.. Take care my friends.

I have the same kinds of problems with my back. I've actually never had any noticeable problems until I wasn't on my feet, moving around all day, every day. Like you, I have to get up and walk around when it starts to ache. I'm not sure if it's the scoliosis I had as a child acting up or not. I've always been very careful to avoid back injury.

That's awesome how well your penpal project is going. I've always wanted to do something like that.

I can't believe you guys were in shorts -- I'm already wearing my heavy, winter coat. Today we did a little geocaching and my fingers were frozen!

scoliosis wow. I have (had, he passed away) a dear friend with that. OUCH.

It was hot here yesterday and today (24 ish).

Isn't that the weirdest weather???

Last year it was also warm on Christmas day. This year...who knows?

Walking is good - especially after a day of crocheting - probably the best thing to loosen up your back. We have been so lucky with the temps but I hear tomorrow is the beginning of the end.

I'm so glad my work pays 80% of my chiropractor fees. I feel bad for anyone with scoliosis, because my back is bad from car accidents and football and wrestling. People with scoliosis are 10 times worse off than I am, so they have my utmost sympathy.

Kora took a good picture. The image technically is centered exactly how it should be, from an artistic standpoint.

Kora is very good at taking pictures, you can be proud of her, and the two little girls must have been very happy to have a long walk with papa mama along this beautiful river. I am going to check about this river on Wikipedia.
I think that walking is good for health physical and mental as well.
Congratulation for your penpal project it's very commendable.

Courtney at least I know I am not alone with the pain. LOL... Thanks about the pen pal. And yes shorts on Sunday but its cooling off now so they are put away again for the season.

B J. Have to admit we didnt have that much snow here last year. We were like 35 inches below average if I remember right.

I wouldnt have been mad at her if she did. I have to agree she did well on her two attempts. She also took one of me Jeff and Bri. I just didnt post that one.

Jeannie its only 46 right now its only 10:41 am here.

Zombie I have to say if I wouldnt have fallen as much as I did when I was a kid I wouldnt be in this mess right now. LOL... Yes Kora did a great job on the photo.

Kitem Thank you. Yes we are very proud of her picture taking ability. Most six year olds dont know how to take a photo much less get it centered. LOL...

Do have your friends bring back photos of the kids when they get the afghans!

My nurse daughter has scoliosis. It gives her fits, especially sometimes when she has to lift patients.

My other daughter's daughter was so bad with it, she had to have steel rods inserted in her back and she has had a hard time, poor little thing. Keep a close eye on the girls - I think it can fun in families.

Glad you had a good walk and some nice time with the family.
