I keep forgetting to tell you all this....

Hey there. I keep meaning to bring this up and keep forgetting but since I am thinking about it I will mention it now. There is a new Johnny Depp movie coming out. Not sure when but it is Public Enemy.. Why I am so interested in this movie is that it was taped partially in Oshkosh WI. Forty five minutes away from Jeff and I in Green Bay. We didnt make it to any of the tapings but that would have been so cool to see though. The only Johnny Depp movie we have is Secret Window and its good movie.. But anyway. They had to change some of the stores for the movie. They paid the store owners to change the looks of there stores for the movie. Amazing that they did that. They had to tear up the street and put cobble stone in and such. If nothing else check it out just to see what they did to Oshkosh.

There was something else i was going to mention here with this but now I cant remember. My mind is fried from this getting up at 1:45 to deliver papers.

Ok update on the job front. I had to decline the damned job I was sooooo excited about. I dont have a baby sitter anymore. Laura was going to take the girls next week and then every tuesday and when i needed her more but they are planning on moving back to Sturgeon Bay WI. An hour from us. I didnt want to get started with the job and then find out that I had no sitter. No one wants to baby sit anymore. No one.. So what Jeff and I have discussed is that if I can find something 3rd shift it would be good for now. I hate not being able to take the position i was already offered.. It was perfect for me. just putting money in a machine and the machine would count the money. Just annoying.

That is what i get for depending on someone else to help take care of my kids. Some people have it great but others like me dont. That is sometimes why i wish my parents or even Jeff's mother lived closer to us. But that is what is going on. I still dont remember what else I was going to say when i started this yesterday besides the movie.

Update.. I found a 3rd shift job cleaning at a country club through ABN Janitorial. It pays 9.00 dollars an hour and its only 3 hours a night.I can handle that. Then i got a phone call for my add so i maybe able to sneak both of these in.. LOL..i am daring...

I am so sorry you had to quit the job before starting it, you looked so excited about it. Since there is no sitter around, no one to look after other people children why won't you do it as a living, I am sure you would be a great foster mummy and make good money out of it. The icing on the cake would be that you get to you look after your own little girls.

I'm sorry the better job didn't work out either, but with a later shift you probably won't need a babysitter, so I know you'll find something better for all of you. I think you guys are rather lucky your families don't live closer! I know this'll work out in the end. It's frustrating now, but you'll find something that's just perfect.

That's cool about the Depp movie being filmed so close to you. We're starting to see more filming in Edmonton, but I think it's mostly short films, horror movies, and made-for-TV stuff. The only major one filmed here recently was "The Assassination of Jesse James" - my folks and Z-Kid saw the old fort where it was filmed last time they were here.
I'm not a huge Depp fan, but I'll check this one.

P.S. I'm glad you'll be rid of Laura, hehe!

Too bad about the job but I agree with sme re: Laura. Something is sure to come up.

It is cool about the movie location. I think my daughter would have driven 2 hours to get a chance to see Johnny Depp in the flesh. There were a couple movies made around here years ago - I didn't see any of the action - Strange Brew (maybe not shown in the States even though it was Second City folks) was partly filmed here in town. A Henry Winkler Christmas movie was filmed in a little touristy village near by and One Magic Christmas was filmed in the town where I went to high school. I had moved away by then but my Mom said it was a pain in the butt to do what you had to do. It was fun seeing a very familiar setting in a movie that was supposedly set in the States.

I agree with SME and Jeannie. Sorry that it didn't work out but to me that means that something better is on the way.

Hey speaking of 'way', I tried to read your blog all last week and got kicked out every time. This was the first time in a while that I could get through.

Neat about the Depp movie...would have found it hard not to hang around...

you know, tweety, you keep looking to work for others. maybe its about time you and jeff sat down and started talking about working for yourselves. that way, you can see to your own needs instead of the needs of another.

Kitem I have tried babysitting others children. Its a hassle and i think that is why most people dont want to do it anymore.

SME a job is a job. That is exactly what I was thinking when I mentioned 3rd shift to Jeff.

Jeannie it was pretty cool. I heard on the news last night that some of the stores want to keep there new look.

BJ I have been told that in the last few weeks. Its blogger. One of my favorite reads i got booted from and then she deleted her blog.

Griper its an idea to keep in mind. Something for us to discuss anyway. Thanks for the idea.

Whatever you decide to do, Tweety, I wish you luck with it. I'm sure it's not easy with the price of everything, especially gas, going sky high!

Thanks Gayle.

wow that is soem big news. Three hours a night sounds perfect!

Near my place in Toronto Cinderellaman was filmed and the storefronts were all changed to make the area look olden...and many of the stores kept the fake signs and new paint jobs. Kind of added character and cleaned up the neighbourhood a bit.

Ah, glad to learn it all turned out well in the end, job-wise.

On another matter, I'd be happy to send you the recipe for that prawn dish. Do you want to drop me a quick line with your email address?

I like Johnny Deep. I think he's the real deal, but I hated the Pirates films, for some reason.
