You all have more than likely heard about this but its still sad. I am not a Redskin fan but I hate seeing people die. I mean did he get shot for a reason or hate from another person. I hope they find out who did this and why they did this. He was to young to die. Worth a few million more than likely but still. I wish I had millions but not to do die having it. I suppose everyone wishes they had millions of dollars sometimes. Money is everything to certain people.

You know when we refinanced our house in July the mortgage guy we worked with knows Brett Favre personally. Yes I said Personally. I have never met Brett but I have been told he is like a really neat guy to know. I have been told that he doesnt act like has money. I would like to meet him some day. Just see if this person is right about Brett. You just never know until you meet someone. Its hard to take the word of some one else.

But check out this link if you havent heard about Taylor. I cant remember his first name but its in the article. Enjoy my friends.

Cant Believe this

It's quite sad, isn't it? To be cut down so young. It's interesting that he had a break in a little while earlier when he wasn't at home. That strikes me as a bit fishy, ie it was planned. Thinking that, of course, it makes the mind wander: was he involved in things he shouldn't have been (look at Michael Vick and other NFLer's who've gotten in trouble over the years). I'm hoping that it was simply "random", not that that would make it any better.

The one thing that strikes me the most about this whole story is that his teammates and friends noticed a drastic change (for the better) in his attitude and actions since the birth of his child (I guess he had some legal troubles in the past). AND! He's been dating his high school sweetheart for the past 7 years!!!! That's rare for anyone but especially celebrities and sports stars!

Karen yes it is very sad. You know Jeff and I have been together since June of 96 when we graduated from school. I mean I graduated. He dropped out in Feb of 96. We met up at my best friends grad party but have been together since.

But football stars or celebrities its amazing.

I hate guns, and I never understand why anyone has to die from them.

Jay, it isn't the gun that's responsible... it's the person who pulls the trigger. If someone wanted to murder this man they would have done so one way or another.

It's always sad, Tweetey, when someone gets murdered, famous or not. I doubt that this is random. It sounds as if someone was bearing a grudge of some sort, either imagined or real. I pray they catch whoever committed this horrible crime.

Don't try to comment over at my blog, hon. I use HaloScan to work my comments and it's been down since Wednesday morning. You can't get into the comment section. Maybe they'll get it fixed by tonight... I hope!

Jay Gayle is right. Its not the gun. Jeff wants to buy a gun but I hate them so I dont want them in the house esp with the girls.

Gayle You are absolutely right. I commented yesterday but it might not have caught. I will check tomorrow.

I had heard on some news report that he was not allowed to have a gun in his home for self-defense. Apparently due to his past legal problems. It's a shame that he was cut down just when he seemed to have turned a corner. I feel for his girlfriend and baby daughter.

We own guns and we have children. They have been taught gun safety and we also have a gun safe. Owning a gun and having one for self protection does not guarantee safety, but I feel it gives me a fighting chance to defend my children and myself if someone who has no respect for our lives were to break in.

Even if you don't own guns, children need to know basic gun safety rules. This is one case where what they don't know CAN hurt them. They may end up in a situation and they need to know what to do and what NOT to do.

Monica you make a good point. The reason Jeff wants a gun is because he thinks the people right behind us are in a gang from Chicago. Or Milwaukee. Not sure which but he thinks they are from there. I think they are here to just get away from the scene.

This is sad to see someone get to the point where they are trying to straighten up and have everything to live for and something like this happens.

Yeah, I was saddened by the loss. He goes home and some jerk robs his house and kills him. Only 24 too. I can't imagine dying at 24. I was 24 when Junior was born.
