Things have Gone Awry..

My life is in shambles right now. That snag I work with wants management position and I refuse to work with her if she does become management. I have told the many managers if she gets management I will quit. Well I told this to Jeff tonight before I went in and he went hay wire basically on me. He didnt hit me but he started telling me I was lucky to have the job I have. Yes that is very true. But I refuse to work wit someone that cant see the screen to keep up running the food to me at the window and then keeping up herself. She doesnt do jack shit but stand around eating ice cream and smoking. Its one thing to have a smoke break but constantly.

Then other things have gone wrong. I am so tired lately. I have a wrist that hurts. I would love to blame it on typing but I havent been visiting as often as I was. I try every other day. I keep up a post but not always visiting. Just to let my friends know what I am up too... I was suppose to work till 3 AM tonight but it was dead so she sent me home early. I dont mind but I wish I would have known earlier I wouldnt have taken a half hour break. I think I jammed my wrist somehow Saturday night when I got a box of fries from the freezer. Those boxes are heavy and I usually can lift them but I think I grabbed it wrong some how.

I have been really weepy lately. I dont know why but I have. The smallest thing said I dont think I can handle I start to cry over. Just dont let Jeff read this part please.. LOL.. I miss my family and that is what set me off tonight when one of the cooks was picking on me. I was weepy before I left the house and held it in till Riley, ( Not his real Name)...

We are planning a trip to the local Zoo here on Thursday if a few people can make it. I will know more later today or Tuesday. I have Tuesday and Thursday off this week. Well I suppose. I need to get to bed here shortly. I will talk to you all later sometime. Hugs to most or all of you and handshakes to those of you that dont want hugs.. N....

UPDATE Most of you know what a McFlurry is right. Its an ice cream treat from McDonalds. Even if you dont eat them yourself you have more than probably heard of them ok. This snag I work with and wants management is afraid of the McFlurry machine. I see it as if she wants to make management she better get used to using the machine. I have made my share of messes and its fun really. You just clean yourself up and keep on going but she refuses to use it. I mean she wants me to make her an Oreo McFlurry before I leave because she is afraid of the machine.. LOL.... I dont know why but she is..

Don't get yourself down. You could just be hormonal couldn't you? And you may not be getting enough good sleep - I get very down if I get too tired.

If the woman is so lazy or incompetent, she wouldn't likely make management anyway would she? In any event, be careful about venting or making statements at work about quitting - I got fired from one for that. Work politics is more important than you think.

Hello Tweetey, i am writing from helene's computer, I think you are very tired, last time you worked for 10 days in a row with even not two days in a row to get some rest, no wonder you get emotional, you have to think for yourself, remember: you first, and the rest of the world will follow. Be careful with your wrist, massage it with some special ointment before it gets worse, this type of hurt last long if you don't care of it.

Chalk it up to a bad day and have a good cry. You're allowed and sometimes you need to get it all out. Overtired sends me over the edge every time, and I have had plenty of days like this - tomorrow is another day. When you and Jeff calm down you can talk and let him know that when you are feeling the way you were feeling, a hug and a 'hang in there' might be a bit more helpful. I'm sure that you both are feeling the stress of financial hard times and maybe he had a bit of a panic when you told him about that skag at work. Don't worry about what might happen (but probably won't) in the future, just focus on the here and now. That lady doesn't sound like management material even if she's talking crap and believes in her own mind that she's got the job.

Hang in there, Tweetey.

Like everyone else has said, you might be really over-tired because of your hectic work schedule and other commitments. It happens. Don't be so hard on yourself. Your hours are also terrible. I used to work 5am - 1pm (and I only got off at 1pm if I was lucky) and it totally wears one down. I hope Jeff becomes more supportive...I hate to see men guilt women into staying places they don't want to be...I've been there and I can tell you NEVER AGAIN.

Sweetey, you sound depressed. Maybe you could start to see an analyst, or perhaps start taking anti-depressants. Also, I've notice that when you speak of McDonald's you often use the word, "we." With that in mind, I encourage you to apply for a management position. You will be a fantastic manager!

Sounds like you need a day off with relaxing not running around on your days off too. One day to rent a movie or sleep in the afternoon...

One rotten part of working and we all have it...we don't get to choose the people we work with...emost work environments have that one (at least, if we're "lucky") person who rides on the energy of others...I've seen it and heard it from all people. There are just some people in the world who slink around and avoid work and let others carry them. It seems no onein management ever sees this happen because these lazy people are very good at shiftiness and looking good when being watched but freeloaders the rest of the time.

Just know, it happens for all of us and keep your good work attitude and hopefully the lazy people will get caught...

did you ice your hand? I hope you get a good relaxing day off, you need to "veg out" sometimes...

I'll take the hug, Tweety. Hugs are great!

Looks like you have already gotten a lot of very sound advice here, so all I will say is tomorrow is another day and you will see everything in a better light after you get some rest. Jeff really shouldn't holler at you though. If he disagrees with you hollering is no way to make one's point. Hollering shuts me down completely. I don't even hear what a person says when they holler at me. All it does is put me on the defensive, but it solves nothing.

I'll ad here that if the woman makes management you should probably keep your job. Just do your job and watch what happens. Sooner or later she'll be fired for incompetence if she's anywhere near as bad as you say she is.

You're tired, poor baby! And no wonder.

You don't need to be yelled at either. Geez SOMEONE should be on your side. You're supposed to be safe at home.

for what its worth..
Jeff probably started yelling cause he got scared you'd just quit .
it sounds like your job has taken a bit of the burden of providing for the family off his shoulders ..and he's really just scared it'll all come whomping down on top of him again.

I understand you can't control the crying thing ..or think you can't ..
But to me ( I'm not a cryer ) but to me crying is manipulation..it doesnt soften me up at all .I feel like the cryer is trying to throw me off the main issue.

I hope things are working better for you today. I hope the snag doesn't get management. The world doesn't need any more slackers in management positions. Good luck!
