Our 4th of July...

Our day started out with two very crabby little girls. We had considered leaving them home with the neighbor lady but at the end did take them with us. They were good for the most part. We didnt get to see the Water Warriors or any of that stuff this year. It was boring to be honest with you. It felt like Jeff and I were the only two people not drinking downtown. Scary huh?? Well here are some photo's you all might like. Enjoy. I had a video of fireworks on my camera that I took and I am hoping it works. Bear wtih me if it doesnt. I have never done this before. I hope this works my friends.. N..

Sunset downtown before the fireworks. Its not as pretty as the ones in our backyard but close.

UPDATE.... I got my job at McDonalds.. I start on Wednesday at 5PM. Its an over night position when I get going.I will be working either from 8 PM to 4 Am or from 10 PM to 6 AM. Cool HUH!!!!!!!

Good job on the video.

And that's great news about the job - quite a relief and I think McDonald's are usually quite amenable to working around your needs (at least as long as you are a good employee).

congrats on the job.

The McDs around here open at 6am and close at 10pm.

My neice and nephew were very crabby this weekend. I think it was due to lack of sleep.

Congrats on getting the job! I know how much you wanted to work, so you must be quite relieved. Hurrah!

Jeannie out McD's are open 24 hours except for the restarurant part. The drive through is open 24 hours.

Hammer the 4th of July weekend is the time for kids to be crabby because they are up later than normal.

Mom thanks. Its a relief to know I got the job. I still have an intterview on Thursday too. I am going to go to it just to see what they are offering.

Red yes it is a very big relief. Now Jeff doesnt have to go find a second job like he thought he was going to have to.

Congratulations on the job. I hope the overnight works out for you.

Notta thanks.

ZF over nights work better than dishing out day care costs. its not cheap having kids.

LOL at the picture of your daughter crying! I'm extremely glad the internet wasn't even invented when I was a kid. :)

Congratulations on getting a job, Tweety. I know you really need the money right now. I hope it works out well for you.

Nothing wrong with the video. In fact, you did a wonderful job on it. Thanks for sharing!

Gayle I dont care how much I hate the job. I am going to try and hold on to it for as long as I can. I have an interview on Thursday too. I just might choose that one but for now lets see what happens at McDonalds.

YIPPEE!!! I was just coming back to ask if you got it. I'm so happy for you! Good luck with everything!

You Got IT!!! Yeay...

I've never even heard of a McDonald's open so late...wow. Is it 24 hours?

I just wanted to share with you, I used to do the 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. shift at a McD's in Charlotte, NC. I would tear down all their equipment, sterilize parts and put it all back together before opening time. At 3 a.m. with no vehicle, and no public transit at that hour and trying to dodge the bums and pervs on a bicycle was terrifying. So just consider, it could always be worse. Good luck on your first day.

tweetey30 said...

BJ thanks.

That girl our drive thru's are open 24 hours not the restaruant part.

VV Thanks. I will try and have a good first day.

I'm glad something has worked out for you on the job front.

The pics of your daughter crying are kinda amusing - cranky is an understatement!

That's a really nice family shot, too.

The fire works was beautiful.
Congratulation for the job at Mc Do.
Too bad your Dad couldn't find a room somewhere else.
Your photos of the girls and him are great.

boy, times have changed. back in my youth when we'd visit relatives, no hotel, we stayed with the relatives. the oldest relatives got the beds, every one else got the floor. or if summer, there was always the lawn under the stars.

i still apply that when relatives visit my home. that way everyone is always home regardless of where you be.

by the way, tweety, thumbs up on the job.

Kitem yes thanks. I am glad you liked the fire works. I wasnt sure if the video would turn out or not. But I guess it did. My dad doesnt like staying with relatives when he visits.

Griper my dad is real weird in his ways. He likes his privacy when he travels and such. these times are vacations for them so he told me once they get loud in area's I am not indulging in... LOL.. So he said he prefers to stay at a motel. I have offered my house but he wants a motel. Something tells me he wont be back visiting again for a long time with this mess up.
