For Those Football Fans...

Hey all I dont know how many of you are football fans but those of you that are Favre fans will like this if you havent heard yet. He wants to come back. But one thing is his replacement said he will not let him come back as a starter. If Favre comes back he has to come back as a backup and Favre is saying no way.

Then he is trying to get the Packers to let him go where he can play for some one else and now the Packers are going after the Vikings for something. I dont remeber exactly what I heard it on the news yesterday. But the Vikings are saying why not talk to Favre when the Packers dont want him and have been trying to get him to retire for the last few years.

What a scandal huh?? Yikes. I am glad I am not in that situation.

On to another topic here. I have a hard time waking up... But I am enjoying working. I only have one complaint so far and I know I will learn it but still. The manager wanted to me to listen on the headsets last night but they didnt have an extra set and she also wanted me to learn how to take the fryer apart and it got dead about 12 o'clock so she asked me I wanted to go home. How I am suppose to learn all this when they are sending me home 3 hours earlier than planned?? LOL... She claims I will be there until 4 am tonight when I go in because tonight is Friday. But I dont want to be doing the head set on a Friday night. I would rather do it on a week day when its less busy until I get to know the register a little better. I am getting to know the meals and have taken orders in the lobby area.

We took the girls our for dinner last night.Just Mcdonalds because I get a discount on the food. But anyway I still cant remember my post I was going to do the other day. I left a comment somewhere and now dont remember what or where I left it.. LOL.. Well ok I need to go find some breakfast and get the girls some lunch. And then I will make rounds. Talk soon. N...

For DUMB! The perfect time to be showing you how to do things is when it's dead. How can they teach you how to take apart the fryer when they're using it?

Mom I know. That is what is pissing me off slightly and sending me home instead. I will keep the job because I need to build my work history back up after 7 years without working but its fustrating really.

That's what managers are like. If it's too dead they don't want to pay for an extra body standing around even if it means delaying teaching you something.

All you can do is go with the flow.

One piece of advice - when it slows down, have a question or two ready to have them go over with you - or suggest it might be a good time to take apart the fryer or something. Be an aggressive learner - they will take an interest in you and it will probably increase your value. Take a little notebook and take notes if you are having trouble remembering everything.

I used to love getting sent home early it was like a snow day at school ;)

But since you just started I'm sure it's not in the best intersts of your training.

Jeannie thanks for the idea. I wont be doing any learning tonight if its as busy as they say it is on Firday's. But Monday night I am going to be ready to ask..

Hammer you snuck in on me.. LOL.. Its hard to learn when you are being sent home early almost every night.

Hopefully you enjoy it and you'll learn quickly :-)

At least, when you're sent home earlier you get more sleep, and more time with the girls, when you look at the positive side.
You will have plenty of time later to learn more about the job.
I scroll down your previous posts, I liked the photos of the zoo very much, very beautiful photo of the girls with the bird.

I'm glad you've got this job. I think you'll have it all down pat in time. Nobody learns a new job overnight. Hope they don't send you home early too often, kinda hard to make any money that way. I'm salaried so going home early means more work to catch up on later.
:-)

Nice photos of you guys at the zoo.

I agree with tshsmom: For DUMB! lol!

It really was stupid though, to not take advantage of a time when the fryer wasn't in use. Sheesh!

As for football, nope! Even though I live in Texas, a huge football state, I'm not a fan.

As for that comment you can't remember, can't you remember even part of it? If you can, you could do a search for it. Next time, title it with something you will remember and save it in your documents.

My most recent job training was very frustrating for me. He took me in baby steps when I really needed to know more - and know it now. I was too tired to argue, though. lol. So I just went at his slow pace and took my time. It worked out and it will for you, too. I was annoyed at being coddled, but then again it was kind of nice...

Can you tell I'm addled??! The hours are killing me.

You'll be fine and happy to hear that you get a discount on the food. The girls are probably VERY impressed by your new abilities. They are seeing you in a new light and it must be very exciting for them.

Tweetey, don't let Management send you home early without giving you free food. Next time Management pulls this crap demand a rack of buns and a carton of cheese. You can use the buns and cheese to make the girls grilled cheeses!

Remember, Management is your enemy!

As for Brett Farve, the old man should stay retired!
