Cookies

Hey there world. I have a delema really here. I have a craving and I have no idea where to find the recipe for these cookies. They are round and small but when you take them out of the oven you put a Hershey Kiss in the middle of the top of them. Anyone out there know what I am talking about or know how to make these if so could you please e-mail me or put the recipe on my blog for me in the comments section. I cant remember what they are called or I would know what to look up. Plus I cant find my damned cookbook I had around here. Its probably still in the basement in a box I never went through. Well thanks all and catch you tomorrow. N.

HERSHEY'S KISS COOKIES

1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together flour, soda, salt and set aside. In mixing bowl beat both sugars and butter until creamy. Add peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg; beat well. Add flour mixture and mix well.
Roll dough into small balls and then roll into a little sugar to coat them. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes until brown. Remove from oven and place kiss on top; push it in a little and return to oven for about 1 minute.

I was going to give you the recipe, Tweety, but I see Hammer already did that.

Tip: When you want a recipe, all you have to do is type it into your browser. Type "Hershey Kiss Cookies" and watch what comes up. :)

We call them "Peanut Blossoms". They're L's favorite Christmas cookie. We use chocolate stars instead of the kisses. I hate unwrapping all those kisses! ;)

That's what I remember - the chocolate stars. Those are good cookies and I haven't made them since I was a teenager. Maybe I'll add them to the list!

Beach blonde thanks for stopping by and it seems Hammer excels at everything.

Monica the first time I had those cookies was from a friend of the family. They would bake until they would drop and then they would split up the cookies to friends and family. But this friends mother died a few years ago and they dont do it anymore.

Zombie if I knew they would stay fresh in the mail I would send you some when I mail out the blankets. No I am not done with the big one yet. I am about half way though.

Kitem its ok to laugh about the cook book. I had it before we moved into the house and now I have no idea where it is. I will find it when I am not looking.

Yes, yes, yes - but I don't have the recipe - so glad to see hammer posted one - yum! I also found that the p-nut butter cookie mix from the dairy section of the grocery store will work in a pinch!
