Grandpa......

Hi all.. I know I have been wishing this for the last couple of weeks now but now its here I am not sure what to do with my wish.. I got an e-mail from my this morning and it said that I my grandfather passed away yesterday afternoon.. He isnt in pain anymore and he is up in heaven..

I have tears rolling down my face because I am sad. I wish I could have seen him one more time but it would never have happened.. Ken was going to take him to Texas to see his Twin Sister but he was too sick to go. They never got to say goodbye to each other. We dont know how she is handling the news right this minute.

Since I broke my foot we arent getting the girls anything from us but there boots we bought them. We have no extra money this year.. I have what is in my crafting blog if you want something just let me know.. I have most of this on Etsy also if you would like to buy from there. Buying from there you need an account.

My handle for Etsy is Bri2004. Give it a try and see what you find.. I have more stuff there than I have on my crafting blog.. I take pay pal through Etsy where you dont have to send me a check or money order.. I feel bad about them not getting much. They got there new coats from my mom but boots from us.. Things they needed terribly. I have our tree and garland up but no gifts this year from us.. I feel terrible.

Thanks VV for the X-mas card.. It came in the mail to day. I will put it up with the rest of my cards and then put it in my shoe box I keep all my cards in at the end of the season.

Well I need to get going for now. Thought you all would like an update on my Grandfather since I have left it hanging out basically..

So very sorry to read about your Grandfather, and the only Blessing is, he is out of pain now, as you said. One is never really prepared for the finality of death, even though one is expecting it. The tears flow, I know. I send you hugs and just know my thoughts are with you at this very sad time.
I'm sorry too that your Christmas will be rather small, due to your financial constraints....I pray that will change---and hopefully before Christmas, but if not, remember you all have each other and that is no small thing, though I know for the kids I'm sure they are hoping for some little gifts or trinkets. Prayers coming your way, my dear with thoughts of Santa surprising you all....

Sorry to hear about your Grandfather, Tweetey. I know you miss him and it is also a comfort to know that he is no longer in pain.

We have had many a Christmas like you are having this year. It is hard living on one income, I know. There were a few years that the girls got a small pile of stuff from the Dollar Store. Thankfully they were young enough that they were just thrilled anyway. My kids never thought we were poor. In fact, I told them all the time that we were rich! LOL. They had no idea and we lived in a neighborhood where everyone was in the same boat struggling and working hard.

Try to come up with 20 bucks and get them each 10 small things for a pile Christmas morning. Trust me - they'll be thrilled and you are providing the most important thing for them: a loving, warm home with everything that they need and many good things beside just basic needs.

If you have the ingredients around the house, make a big deal out of baking some cookies or a cake and let them help, and let them help with decorations, too. My kids loved to sit around the lit tree with Christmas carols playing, too. Make the memory be the time that you spend together - not about the presents. This time that we have with them is like liquid gold running through our fingers.

I tried calling you earlier today. I used the numbers you sent me in e-mail. The first just rang and rang, the second said it was not accepting calls. E-mail me with a number and when would be a good time to call.

Sorry to hear that.

I bookmarked your etsy site. It's really nice. Will show Mrs. Z tonight.

Please accept my sincerest sympathy for the loss of your Grandfather. I know how you feel. I hope I can be as sympathetic and kind to you as you were to me when my sweetie went to Heaven. Maybe they will meet there. Someday we all will.
