ME ME ME

Hi there. I got to go on a small shopping spree yesterday. I got my check that was a considerable size for the hours I worked last payday and then I cashed it. Got a money order for a bill that was late and then I went shopping. I am wearing black jeans to work because for some reason they wont order my two pairs of slacks I have requested or they just havent come in yet. I dont know which. so I have been wearing Jeans to work. I had one pair of black jeans so I got two more pairs yesterday. And I found some shirts on sale for 3 dollars a piece. They were on clearance and I picked up 3 of them. One bright pink, a teal color and a cream colored one.

Then we had a little extra left over on my check. What feels really nice is that my next check will go directly into the bank instead of for bills. Yayy. We can finally start saving some of my hard earned money. This last week I have lost some money but hey I made up for it last payday I think.. I have lost 3.5 hours this week so far because it wasnt busy and she sent me home early.

Life is getting better. I know most of you watched the debate last night but I just couldnt get myself to do so. There was just something about it esp after the House of Reps denied this last bill like our stimulus checks if I am right. Like I said before I am far from being political but I do have my opinions. The States are going ot fall so hard if something isnt done for us.

I mean I look and Jeff comments that if the banks dont do something everyone that owns a house is going to go bankrupt. Or the banks are going under and everyone will own there house clear and free or something to that effect ok. These are just opinions.

Well anyway that is whats going on here. I will see if I can get Jeff to take a photo of me in my new shirts as I wear them to post them for you. He likes me in the pink one the best he said.. So see you all later. I made rounds already so I will catch up with you all later. Enjoy your weekend.

Glad you got some time for yourself and some things you needed...sounds like the job is still going well?

Mom had a really good idea: Instead of giving billions to the banks that have already messed up, give starter money to new banks, about 12 in each state!

There you go. That is better than not having enough banks. I know in the last couple of years we have had two new banks put in here in town. I dont know what they are exactly. but they are new..

Yes I got some little time to myself and money..LOL... I rather enjoyed my time shopping with the girls. They enjoy trying to help me pick things out.

What SME said--glad you got to treat yourself. like Tshsmom's idea too.

There's no way that they're going to let homeowners go under. Those are the people supporting the tax system.

Good girl! Spending a little of your hard earned cash on yourself. I meant to stop off at the discount store before coming home to see if they had any tops I liked but I forgot. I need clothes for winter badly.

Super that you got some "Me" going there - need it once in a while to make the working a bit easier - the joy of working just to be working wears off, LOL.

I'm planning on mostly a jeans wardrobe for winter too - and especially black ones, can wear everywhere with different tops - they are dressy, yet not.....I find good deals, but never as good as yours! But then finding clothes for a 6'2" woman is no easy task. I need to go shopping today, but someone is coming to paint a bedroom and I can't turn down free help!!!!

Anyway I went to daughter's in Mobile and got her hand me down's (we all fluctuate in weight all the time) and I have my dressy winter pants, hooray.

Anyway, glad the pinch is off - and the economy? Well, I've come to the conclusion that God gives us everything ultimately and we need to live believing He is our source and that will alleviate worrying about what the government is doing - or else we would just go nuts with worry and life is too short to go about with our joy dampened.

Watching the VP debate, that one was enjoyable - except I felt really bad when Biden broke down a bit telling about his family tragedy (Palin bought it up first) and she didn't skip a beat, say I'm sorry or anything - it was sort of weird....

I'm not going to go all political on you and tell you why I don't like this bail out bill, Tweety. I'm going to be kind and spare you that. LOL!

I'm just glad that you are feeling much better than last time I visited you and that you had a great day. :)

I just got caught up on your last five posts. I hope things are going better for you. So nice that you could get yourself some new clothes - and what a great deal on the shirts!

This reminds me that I need a spending spree, esp if I can find shirts for $3.

I'm with Gayle and Tshsmom on the bailout, but I will also spare you my rant. lol.

Glad to hear that the light at the end of the tunnel is a good light. It's nice to get a little something when you work so hard.
