Odd and Ends...

Ken just came home from seeing his dad for probably the last time. Ken's dad has fluid in his heart and they are having a hard time keeping it pumped out. They dont give him much time to live. I was rotten 15 year old the last time I saw him.

I told him the last time I was going to see him was at his funeral. I was terrible. He drank all the time and had Ken drinking with him and Ken and my mom were always fighting. So here is a photo of Ken and his dad..

Here is another one of Snowy. We just found out he has a bit of orange on his ears and his tail. But for some reason in this photo he is reflecting orange but is white when I look at him.. LOL.. Funny really. So looking forward to bringing home home... So are the girls really.

Now Jeff's cake even though its not done the way I wanted it to be done. But its the thought that counted.. I had to do his cake since Laura got sick and didnt even bother calling me to tell more have some one call me if she couldnt call me. Oh well. No biggy.

Bri after a busy day of paying bills with mommy and then playing outside and her bath.. LOL... She was tired. She barely made it through me washing her hair in the tub.

On another note I finally found out what happened to those afghans Laura was suppose to have mailed out in November for me. About two weeks ago she wanted me to go with her new boyfriend and take in five of her cats to the Humane Society but they were closed so we took the cats back to the basement when we got back and I noticed one of the afghans she made for the Orphans. Well I couldnt ask her straight out but I left her a message on Yahoo Instant Messanger. She calls me back and says her ex sister in law saw it and her friend wanted one exactly like it. Right... I really believe that one. I dont think she mailed them. She could never find a reciept when I asked her about. Or she was doing something where she couldnt look. So this takes the cake. I am not going to do a thing about it but I finally found out what she is like. I will never ask her to help me with anything again. I gave her a second chance with Jeff's cake on Sunday and she couldnt even do that for me so no more. The kids can play but they arent allowed in her house. She took them on Saturday because she wanted to and Jeff and I really didnt want them to stay but decided for a few hours while we went to Milwaukee what could it hurt. Well we came home early and found she ended up taking a nap and the kids were left to fend for themselves for a few hours. I never let the girls do that. Never.. I will never leave them with her again. I will never ask her to help me again. Never... Never... Never....

Life is to short for my family. I hate knowing what a person she is. She is always sick. Well if she wasnt almost 400 lbs she wouldnt be sick all the damn time. Sure she got rid of Norm but he is always harrassing her and she is sick of it. He has a harrassment case against him, a restraining order they cant serve because he refuses to give her an address to ship the rest of his shit to him.. I am in the middle of it and sick of it. I just want out. I am going to stay on good terms with her until I bring Snowy home and then I think I am going to drop all ties with this woman. I dont want any bad feelings before I bring Snowy home just incase at that point she gets nasty with me and tells me I cant bring him home.

People. I will never trust anyone again like this. I mean I have my friends and I know who they are. I have you guys.I may not know you personally but a few of you. But you all seem more friends than people I know in real life lately.

When we go home in two weeks from Friday I am seeing an old friend of mine and I dont know how that is going to go. I havent seen her since Jeff and I left back home. She was gone by then on the Army Base in Oklahoma. I think I spelled it right.. Anyway I am nervous on that one. Well enough of my ramblings. Talk to you all later.

I can't believe she stooped to stealing those afgans.

You are right to never trust her again.

Happy birthday to J! The cake looks yummy...lots of frosting.

I'm glad you're washing your hands of Laura. From all you've said about her on this blog, and now the afghans and not watching the kids and not bothering to call you about the cake...good riddance. It really sounds like she's given you guys nothing but trouble. I can see being polite to her because you have to live near each other, but not much more than that!

Snowy's awfully cute! I bet the girls are getting excited. Richard's still pestering me about a cat to keep Sophie company, but I haven't given in yet. I'll just enjoy your pics and stories about the new member of your family, for now.

You are wise to keep mum until you get the kitten, Tweety, but anyone who would leave the children by themselves while she sleeps is not to be trusted. Stealing your afghans just tops it off!

As you've found out through blogging, there are many wonderful people in this old world, and you will learn to tell who you cannot trust and who you can as you age. It get's to be instinctive. Do they frequently look away from you when they are talking to you? Do they actually listen to you when you are talking? Are they fidgeting a lot? Body language can tell us a lot. Do they cover their mouth with their hand often, or bite their lower lip, or blink really fast? That's a sure sign of lying... unless they have really bad teeth which causes some people to cover their mouth, especially when they laugh.

Forgive yourself for being a "really bad" teenager. Most teenager don't have a clue! LOL! If they did, they wouldn't be teenagers. :)

As for the cake, I'm sure Jeff appreciated the effort you put into it. What you've learned out of this is that it's best to depend on yourself whenever possible. Other people sure can disappoint you!

Hammer I can believe she stooped that low.

SME yes I am too. It cant hurt to get a kitten for Sophie to play with.. I just figured out why Snowy looks orange in that photo. His sister is crawling over his back.. LOL..

Gayle yes I learned a valuable lesson here.

Oftentimes the only person to trust to do a thing right is yourself. Asking to another person to accomplish it, in this case appears was putting irresistible temptation in the path of their weakness.
That being said, screw 'em and cold shoulder.

Dirtcrashr yes after I get my kitten I think that is what might happen. I am sick of asking people for help and then getting screwed in the process.

wow - Laura is some piece of work! I guess you really couldn't possibly consider her someone to rely on much less a friend. I think it's best to keep your distance.

Jeannie Going to after I get Snowy. We have his first bag of food waiting for him and then his first bag of cat litter... I am so excited to getting him.

I agree with Jeannie, keep your distance with this lady after you have the cat. You know now how she is, you already had many bad experiences with her.

I have so many things I want to say regarding this post of odds and ends...but I think others here have said so much and so wisely.

You know...some people are born to shit on others...it's not their fault or their knowldge, they don't even know they are like that. Laura sounds like a very sad person who needs help, but we can't save others...unless they ask for our help.

As for your feelings about Ken's dad...

I don't think you should feel like you were just a terrible teen. Teens are extremely intuitive...and a man who drinks that much and drove you to say those things...I believe in the child that you were...

Children sometimes need to distance themselves from bad adults...and he sounds from what I can read between the lines...like someone you instinctively knew was a negative or bad person...

I don't know the whole story, but I always take the side of a child.

Meanwhile Bri is precious how she fell asleep like that, so cute poor tired kid!

Sounds like a 'Bad Day at Black Rock!' Sometimes we are disappointed with some people for one reason or another. Some people seem to have more problems than is imaginable. One thing we need to remember, though, is; their problems belong to them, not us. It's best to never let their problems become our problems. For me, I have enough problems of my own and don't need to take on someone elses! 'Chuckle'

BTW; Thanks for the nice comment on my video. We'll be adding our own songs to it in the future! It's going to be fun!
