I hate when people use there kids as excuses....

Morning my friends in which still comment regularly...LOL... I miss you all dearly but working 3rd shift takes alot out of me and visiting lately. I do what I can to make rounds periodically.. I read most days but dont comment.. But anyway onto my post about people using there kids as excuses..

This guy I work with has 9 year old twin girls ok.. He is separated from there mother and has custody of them.. Well we were talking about them before the Holiday and he said 3rd shift isnt working out because his girls are into trouble because HE'S WORKING 3rd SHIFT!!!!!! They are in school when he sleeps and should be in bed or just going to bed when he is leaving for work.. So how can they be in trouble at 9 years old and him working 3rd shift???? I dont get it..

Well I am not going to bitch and complain if the girls dont turn out if because I am working 3rd shift.. If they dont turn out it may or may not be my fault. But you know what I tried with them the best I could. They are both very smart and know what is right and wrong but sometimes they like to push whats wrong instead of doing whats right..

Anyway life goes on.. Snowie thinks its bedtime. She keeps walking to the bedroom and then the living room and pawing at my leg like come on mama.. Lets go.. She wants to curl up under the covers with me against my belly where she sleeps when I sleep on my side.. Now she is putting her paws on the keyboard like lets shut this thing down.. Or she is trying to help me type..lol..

Oh here is another thing i wanted to say about our local radio's..

Dear Local Radio Stations:

You have thousands of music choices but you only play the same songs over and over again. I am sick of hearing the same set of music each night at work and in the car.. Please open your selection to those thousands of music choices you brag about please.. I work 8 hours a night and listen to about the same music each night and its getting really boring.. I have learned to tune you out when the person I am working with likes listening to your station..

Esp when you do the 2011 request thing on WAPL... You have thousands of music selections and people only want to hear the same songs over and over again.. Dont you get sick of hearing the same songs???? I dont care if they are computer generated or not..

OK OK I am off of here. I am going to eat a bowl of cereal and then go to bed. Talk soon and have a wonderful weekend my friends..

It may be because he has custody and their Mom is not in the picture, this makes for a worrisome situation. It helps if there are two of you, don't you think?

Hi Tweets, my mom worked 3rd shift for years, she also often worked 2-3 jobs at once. My sisters did the majority of the work raising all of us. Some of us got in trouble, some did not. I don't think it had as much to do with parenting, since we all received the same parenting and turned out differently. I think it had to do with our own personal characters. Some of us could make good decisions, some of us consciously made bad decisions and probably would have made the same decisions regardless of our mother's presence or absence. Don't worry about it.

For years people have worked and made child care arrangements and hoped their kids would turn out for the best. I often think its what kids see their parents do rather than words, hours worked, etc., etc. If they have stability. It's just hard being a working parent, period. As you well know.

I am marveling still at my husband who never helped with the kids or housework still thinking his only job should be going to work....?????

Other people he works with are always coming in with they can't do that or this because they have kids to take care of - he hasn't a clue how they could be having problems because he never helped.
