Th Maritime Museum Manitowoc WI

Here are some awsome photo's for those ship lovers out there.. We were going to Milwaukee yesterday because Jeff works Monday now and has Tuesdays off and then works Wednesday through Saturdays now.. Just untitl his hours pick back up.. But as we were driving it got really slippery yesterday. It was snowing and it just was yuckie... So we decided for the safety of the family we would turn around. We were going to go to the Zoo here but decided to do something different.. They have a Submarine outside of the building they do tours on. Well I got outside and on the deck but couldnt go any further.I handed my camera to Jeff and walked back inside. I freaked out.. I hate being in/on places I can see between the cracks.. If you take me fishing and I can see the water through the dock you wont get me on the dock.. I am the biggest chicken of all times.. But I took fifty some photo's yesterday with my new camera so I wont I post fifty photo's. That will get boring today.. I will post some of them.. I have to delete some anyway. they are way to blurry to post. I am still learning how to use the camera. the nice thing about it is that it has a museum mode where there is no flash but it takes awasome pix in the place..

This is where I stopped outside.. Chicken me.!!!!!!!

Ok People.. There are alot more of these and I will stop here today with these and let you enjoy these right now and in a few days I will continue on with part two of the Maritime Museum.. So there was our little trip yesterday.. Ok I am off to find some breakfast and also help Bri with her homework. She has been more willing to read for me lately so we have started back up with her big blue book we bought her at the beginning of the year..

That first shot looks _so_ cold with the ice on the water. The other shots are great. I haven't seen the inside of too many ships. Everything is so tiny and contained.

VV Jeff took these. I couldnt get on the ship after stepping on the deck where I took that first one.. I had to go back inside... I freaked totally... Not very adult like but hey I have my fears and falling into the water is one of them...

I totally understand your fears. I love ships. We have some docked in San Francisco that Mrs. Z and I visited. I don't have that same fear, but I am scared of heights and I actually freak out just like you did.

Cool pictures. I wish we took pictures of the old WWII ship we were on. It was the last Liberty ship from that war that is still being actively used today. It's now for cruises.

Awwww....this makes me miss the times I would actually drive from Texas to Wisconsin to see my baby sister!! She moved to Wisconsin when she was 15 and stayed there until she was like 30 something. Her 4 kids are still there, and I sure wish I could just load down the car and go.Flying is just not as fun as going through all the states and all.
Anyways...every visit was so pretty though.I never got to see knee-deep snow like my sister talked about. She's like"you ain't seen nuttin' girl"! Cuz I was a bit cold one day,and she was wearing shorts, and everyone was telling me...Are u kidding? This is hot compared to the winters.Plus everyone laughed at the way I talk.I felt like a martian there.lol...they called me "southern bell" and people in this one(what you call) pub were coming to the pub I was in saying"where is that girl that talks funny"? I was like a circus act.People would say"Talk for us"!lolol..or "Say the word WHITE"..I felt famous or something.
HaHaHa...bawk bawk bawk!! That's my chicken sound...your so funny.Well, having any "fear" is not really funny, sorry hun. It's just the way you put it.
I don't think I've ever been on a ship...hmmm..neat-o pictures though!I love the kiddo's boots,btw!

Pretty Amazing! And your pictures in Part 1 and Part 2 are terrific...!
I'm not sure I could ever be out on a Submarine under water....
I LOVE to swim underwater, BUT, when I do, I am in control....Being in a Sib, I wouldn't have any control...Makes me claustrophobic just to think about it....lol!
But, what a wonderful education as to how a real Submaribe looks and all the workings of it....HREAT! Thanks for sharing...!

That Orchid came in an Arrangement---there were three of them all together...STUNNING, beyond words!
