I am So Excited....

Hi there. I am excited for January to come around. Not just because my b-day is there.. But that lady I have been working with for the Pen Pals in Uganda Africa is coming to visit with us for a month... She is going to stay with us for a month and then go to other places and come back here for a few days before she goes back to Africa.

The only thing I dont know how my neighbors are going to deal with a real African person though.. They are really different. I am not prejudice. I dont care what color you are for me to be friends and invite you into my home. I opened our home up to her where she can fundraise for the kids and such..

Most of the kids in her Orphanage cant attend school this year because she didnt make the money for there supplies or there fee's they need for the kids to go to school. I wish I could help more. I still have the T-shirt and hats she sent me four months ago. I should really sell them. I keep forgetting. I was going to have a rummage sale this last summer and sell them that way and forgot about it. But now she needs the money.

I am horrible sometimes. I wasnt thinking about going back to work when I took on the job of selling these for her. I will take photo's here in a few minutes and if any of you would be interested in helping the kids would be great to get them sold wehre I can finally send her the money. Or as much as I can. Those poor kids need to go to school.

Also does anyone know anything about Power Point and if its expensive to get??? I have a CD with information about the kids for Pen Pals and the CD's in Power Point and I have no way of opening the CD.. Or is there a way of opening it with another program???

Hey there. I found an old Show on You Tube.. I found the Fraggles.... yayyy. I was commenting on SME's blog the other day and she was talking about old shows and I found the Fraggles today... I loved the Fraggles. I know a blog friends Husband has the whole complete set of Fraggles on DVD and Now I want them. I miss watching them. They are so cute..

Alf also. I want I want I want.... LOL... I was watching Fraggles when my mom called me and told me that Ken's dad is in the hospital and he may not be coming out of it alive this time. He was trying to get back to his boat and he has a motorized scooter and he was going to wait for his friend but decided to try it alone and the scooter tipped on him. And he broke his hip because of it.. Gutsy old man of a grandfather I have... We dont know for sure if he will make it out of the surgery or not. He is 85 years old and they are leary operating but he cant live the rest of his life with a broken hip..


Anyway I promised photo's and I will have them up tomorrow or Thursday.. I have taken one of the puzzle box. It turned out nice suprisingly. Well I suppose. I need to be going for now. I have one more load of laundry to do and two to fold.. Talk to you all later. N..

Yayy A Date...

Jeff and I had a date yesterday. Meaning no kids... We left them with the neighbor lady and went out after he got off work yesterday. He worked till noon and then we were gone by 1:00 PM...

We went to lunch at a place called Red Robin. We both had Bacon Cheese Burgers and fries, and a side order of Mozz sticks. Then we were going to go to a movie but decided to just go wander the mall. Something we havent done in ages. Well in the process we found a great Candle store but didnt buy anything there. But then we headed to the bookstore where I found two books. Treasure of Khan by Clive Cussler and Dirk Cussler, and Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris. They were in the bargain books and I just couldnt turn them down. Then off to the hobby store real quick where we could look at puzzles. We actually bought one. Its beautiful. Then to see about music but didnt find any. But we did find the three Lord of the Rings movies used on DVD...

Then we came home and a friend called and Jeff went and picked him up and then we had dinner and then a bonfire in the back yard. Not a big big bon fire but in a small buddha pit we have. Its kind of cute. I will take a photo of it later and post it in a few days... But we were outside from like 9:30 last night till 3 AM. We had loads of fun..

Then company left and we went to bed. the girls were up till 12:30 having fun outside eating marshmallows over the fire. We would roast them in the fire for them and they would be getting all sticky..Then our neighbors brought a friend of theres down. He is from Austrailia. I hope I spelled that right or close... He was cool. Esp listening to the accent. He was telling me all about the Kangaroo's and crocadiles.. It was cool to hear about it. I love watching stuff from there.

Anyway I need to get going and find something to eat. I have been up for an hour and still havent eaten. Talk to you all soon. N...

I have to admit its easier today than it was on Monday without them. Its still to quiet but I am adjusting. We were joking at work last night about what happened the other night. Thankfully the snag manager wasnt there. I wasnt really looking forward to her shit last night. But again on a lighter note photo's to look at below of course.. UPDATE.....My girls are on there way home. Bri wasnt eating for grandma so they are bringing them home. I am just the happiest mommy in Green Bay... I cant wait to see them...

Fucking Managers...

First of all Jeff and I didnt get to play racquetball last night. They were full when we went in last night and we didnt have time to wait for a room to open up at 7. I had to work last night. But we went bowling instead and only paid 16 dollars for the two of us. Not bad.. Then I had this idea of going to work and having dinner. Well we went alright but it was like 15 minutes before I had to be in. I changed clothes in the bathroom and Jeff got our food after we ordered.


Well I ran into a time crunch and I asked the manager there if I could have five more minutes to finish my dinner and she said no. She said if I didnt punch in she was going to write me up. And she is yelling this over the counter where the customers could hear her. Well with my girls not being home I am really emotional esp at work. Things went from there.I punched in but only stayed till ten when the over night manager came in. I talked to my manager and asked to come. I wasnt feeling well because of my food not settling. I know it sounds like one excuse but five minutes makes difference.

Then my manager brought cookies in and the one that was being a bitch brought the cookies up front and Robin said those arent for your crew. J said I thought N would like one before she goes home. J was trying to suck up and be nice to make up for being such a bitch before Robin got there. Because J had the whole over night crew on her ass for being such a bitch to me. Rick the cook and Robins boyfriend before I left last night gave me the biggest hug and kissed the top of my head like a father would.

I have made some pretty good co workers this job. I have no intentions of quitting and they better quit there shit on the closers end. But I will say one thing. I was whipping burgers down the line last night and they all knew to stay out of my way. I was pissed off.

While we were gone last night I told Jeff Snowie is alone maybe we should leave the tv on for her. So we did. I dont know how she reacted because Jeff never said when I came home last night. But he was suprised but he also understood that I didnt feel well. He said I looked pale but it was ok to take a break. I slept till one today and then have to go back at eight tonight. I just hope I dont have a write up slip waiting for me when I show up tonight. I will sign it only if it has what I know for facts.

On a lighter note we are doing well and I am not worrying about anything. The girls come home Saturday and we are enjoying our time together and alone time. I am half way through the girls rooms putting things away and taking away some toys they dont play with.. Its giving me time that I never thought of having.. Not yet anyway. I Miss My Girls Already

I miss them already and they have only been gone four hours from me.. I cant stop the tears from flowing.. Just some thoughts on the subject. We have been home for an hour and all I can do is cry. We left at 8 PM from his mothers house tonight and the look Kora gave us when we pulled out the drive way.

I know they will be ok but I miss them any way. I have been the one taking care of them for the last 7 years not someone else. I have never left them for more than few hours with anyone else. this feels strange. I should be down stairs with my hubby but I hate him seeing me like this. Crying and sappy looking. I try to be brave for him also.


The dang cat even cuddled up to me wondering where the girls were. You should have seen the look on her face when we walked in the house. It was puzzlement. Well I suppose. I need to go spend sometime with my hubby. We dont get much alone time and I might as well take advantage of that. We are planning on more racquet ball tomorrow afternoon. Fun Fun in the sun for us. Hope you all have had a great weekend up to now. Sorry to sound so sad but I miss them already... Six days till they come home again but still its going to feel like a life time. We Had Fun Last Night.

Hi there my friends.. Jeff and I had some fun last night. We left the girls with the neighbor lady down the street and went to the YMCA together and had some fun. We played raquet ball. You should have seen us. Neither one of us knew what we were doing so we played it our way and had some fun...


Jeff was in the big brother and big sister program when he was a kid and his big brother brought him to the Y once and played raquet ball. Jeff was hitting the wall last night. It was funny. It was one of those times you wished you had a camera with you. Its not that I was afraid of the ball either it was that I wasnt quick enough yet to hit the ball. I could serve it but just couldnt hit it very often for some dang reason..

Otherwise I have the next three days off. I was suppose to work on Friday but I was asked if I would give my friday up to a co worker. I said yes but if he doesnt show up he is fired. That is what the manager that ok'd it said. She cant fire him but she can suggest.

The girls are getting ready to go to Jeff's mothers house for a week. She is depressed because his sister doesnt want anything to do with her and she wont let her own mother see the kids so we decided that she can take ours for a week. Yes his sister has finally surfaced but she has cut us all off. We think it has more to do with her lazy assed husband than it does her really wanting to cut the family off.

Anyway I need to get going. Kora has a spelling test to take yet today and then finish her work. She has been really good this week with the threat over her head that if she doesnt work she isnt going to grandma's house.. So she has been busting butt for me. Talk to you all soon. N...

Things

Hi there. How is everyone doing this fine Monday night. I have to work but have Wednesday and Thursday off. I am half asleep but doing good. The girls and I went swimming today at the YMCA. We joined up on Saturday and us girls went and used the pool today. I am looking at getting Kora in some swimming lessons. She could really use them.

I want to lose some weight and need to start walking and running today. Us girls also played basketball for a while. I was teaching Kora to granny shoot but she wouldnt listen to me or watch me. So I just ended up having them run after the ball for the most part.

I was recognized again last night for staying longer than needed because some one didnt come in again. I was being taught some breakfast. I wasnt taking orders but I was watching her as she was putting them in and she was explaining them to me.

Well need to get going and I will have more news later on tomorrow or the following day. Have a nice night and I will catch up in the next couple of days. N..

ME ME ME

Hi there. I got to go on a small shopping spree yesterday. I got my check that was a considerable size for the hours I worked last payday and then I cashed it. Got a money order for a bill that was late and then I went shopping. I am wearing black jeans to work because for some reason they wont order my two pairs of slacks I have requested or they just havent come in yet. I dont know which. so I have been wearing Jeans to work. I had one pair of black jeans so I got two more pairs yesterday. And I found some shirts on sale for 3 dollars a piece. They were on clearance and I picked up 3 of them. One bright pink, a teal color and a cream colored one.

Then we had a little extra left over on my check. What feels really nice is that my next check will go directly into the bank instead of for bills. Yayy. We can finally start saving some of my hard earned money. This last week I have lost some money but hey I made up for it last payday I think.. I have lost 3.5 hours this week so far because it wasnt busy and she sent me home early.

Life is getting better. I know most of you watched the debate last night but I just couldnt get myself to do so. There was just something about it esp after the House of Reps denied this last bill like our stimulus checks if I am right. Like I said before I am far from being political but I do have my opinions. The States are going ot fall so hard if something isnt done for us.

I mean I look and Jeff comments that if the banks dont do something everyone that owns a house is going to go bankrupt. Or the banks are going under and everyone will own there house clear and free or something to that effect ok. These are just opinions.

Well anyway that is whats going on here. I will see if I can get Jeff to take a photo of me in my new shirts as I wear them to post them for you. He likes me in the pink one the best he said.. So see you all later. I made rounds already so I will catch up with you all later. Enjoy your weekend.

Things have Gone Awry..

My life is in shambles right now. That snag I work with wants management position and I refuse to work with her if she does become management. I have told the many managers if she gets management I will quit. Well I told this to Jeff tonight before I went in and he went hay wire basically on me. He didnt hit me but he started telling me I was lucky to have the job I have. Yes that is very true. But I refuse to work wit someone that cant see the screen to keep up running the food to me at the window and then keeping up herself. She doesnt do jack shit but stand around eating ice cream and smoking. Its one thing to have a smoke break but constantly.

Then other things have gone wrong. I am so tired lately. I have a wrist that hurts. I would love to blame it on typing but I havent been visiting as often as I was. I try every other day. I keep up a post but not always visiting. Just to let my friends know what I am up too... I was suppose to work till 3 AM tonight but it was dead so she sent me home early. I dont mind but I wish I would have known earlier I wouldnt have taken a half hour break. I think I jammed my wrist somehow Saturday night when I got a box of fries from the freezer. Those boxes are heavy and I usually can lift them but I think I grabbed it wrong some how.

I have been really weepy lately. I dont know why but I have. The smallest thing said I dont think I can handle I start to cry over. Just dont let Jeff read this part please.. LOL.. I miss my family and that is what set me off tonight when one of the cooks was picking on me. I was weepy before I left the house and held it in till Riley, ( Not his real Name)...

We are planning a trip to the local Zoo here on Thursday if a few people can make it. I will know more later today or Tuesday. I have Tuesday and Thursday off this week. Well I suppose. UPDATE Most of you know what a McFlurry is right. Its an ice cream treat from McDonalds. Even if you dont eat them yourself you have more than probably heard of them ok. This snag I work with and wants management is afraid of the McFlurry machine. I see it as if she wants to make management she better get used to using the machine. I have made my share of messes and its fun really. You just clean yourself up and keep on going but she refuses to use it. I mean she wants me to make her an Oreo McFlurry before I leave because she is afraid of the machine.. LOL.... I dont know why but she is..

What the Girls did Yesterday...

Hi all Here are some photo's of the Home Schooling group did yesterday. They want to keep private so I never took photo's of the kids. But these are the animals they learned about yesterday. I broke my sleep time up where we could go. I have worked nine days straight and have a day off today now. I will go to bed after doing this post and making Jeff's lunch. But here are the photo's.


This first photo I was expecting Kora to freak out but she did rather well. I was the one that squeamish. I dont care for snakes all that much.. LOL...

This photo here is of a flying squirl but they really dont fly and he is in the Sanctuary because he ran into a window and doesnt have his balance to be out in the wild with his relatives.





This Owl was put in the Wild Life Sanctuary because his mother and father quit feeding him and he was found almost dead. So he was just a baby so he actually doesnt know how to live out in the wild. He has no physical problems as she put it but his mentally wouldnt make it. He doesnt know how to hunt for himself since he has been handled by people since he was a baby Owl..



My favorite part was when she got him to spread his wings. That was awsome. Just a quick tilt of her wrist and he thought he was going to fall so he put out his wings. Beautiful animal.



I am taking today off to spend with the girls and Jeff when he comes home tonight. I am just getting ready for bed. Need to make his lunch and then off to bed myself. I am exhausted. I was asked to work tonight but then when I got in tonight the manager that hired me told me to take my night off. She said I was going to get myself sick working so hard. But she appreciated my offer. Then I go back on Friday. But life is good here now.

School is going good with Kora. She is learning facts about what she is reading and doing well with it. She takes and runs with it and her spelling tests. She has been doing great. She got one wrong on her first one and a 100% on her second so we think we have finally found her strong point. Todays assignment is writing down facts adn then a story to go with her own facts she writes down. I will help her do this. I think she will have fun doing it. Anyway Bri's learning her name slowly. She likes when we take high lighters and let her trace over her name. She still doesnt want to do it on her own yet. But that is ok. she is just learning. Well I am off to bed. The Most I have worked in a Row in My Life..

Hi all. I have worked every day since last Tuesday. That makes eight days in a row tonight when I go in for my regular scheduled night. I have been called in on all my days off and I have said yes. But now I am feeling wore out. I have to work tonight and then tomorrow and have Thursday off. I am exhausted from all this work. Jeff thinks its easy working my job. I wish he could try it plus taking care of the house. I was in the process of cleaning house yesterday when I got called in and I had to wait till today to finish my cleaning.

Dont think I am complaining but it takes alot out of me. My hands and wrists hurt from dealing with the fryer. I would love to call in tonight and just take a break and just have some family time. My girls miss me but I dont feel that I can do that right now. I just dont want to burn out. We are missing one of our over night managers because we think he got another job some place else and just hasnt told McDonalds yet. And then we have one girl that got fired. She was pregnant and had Herniated Disks or something like that and she could only work a few nights a week and half the time she would call in when she was scheduled so we let her go.

But nine days in a row with out a day off. My choice. Just look at my next paycheck.. Yayyy.. We could still use the money. I just paid a huge utility bill yesterday. But at least its caught up before winter gets here. Jeff has it figured we should be caught up by the end of next month finally. Yayyy...

Well I need to go finish laundry and do a load with my work clothes in it or I wont have any work clothes tonight. I am working from 9 PM to 4 AM.. Talk to you all tomorrow sometime..

Last Night...

Hi all. I know I know more about work.. LOL...

We had a horrid time last night. One of the cooks got sent home because he went off on his girlfriend our over night manager. He was calling her every dirty name in the book and such. I felt so bad for her and then the one lady I dont get along with went home early and then we had to keep one of our closers till 3 AM. It wasnt a pretty sight to see last night. Yikes.. Then one girl requested last night off at the last minute so we were 3 people short and we got our job done but it took a while really.

I dont see how they get a way with it. The one girl I have mentioned before that is pregnant and has back problems got fired finally. She never called in the other night and they just said enough.. I dont understand why they didnt fire her before now but hey its none of my business really. But I worked from 8 PM last night till 5 AM this morning. I kept up too. I didnt do the grill but put the sandwiches together and pushed them down to the end of the line. I was impressed with my abilities yet.

I just wish we could find reliable people. Tonight they have this deal going that every time the Green Bay Packers Score we give out a free Soda.. I am sure glad I am not working this shift.. Yikes.. Busy. Can we say Busy at work tonight.. Yikes...

I have been just tired the last two days. I wondered if I am coming down with a cold and just dont know it yet. I mean the start of one. Tired and sore and just wanting to sleep. I cant sleep because who is going to stay up with the girls. Jeff got up wtih them this morning and fed them breakfast for me and then when I got up I went and got lunch. I got a free meal for myself from last night at work and then bought the rest some food. It helps having discount.

Life is good here otherwise. The girls are playing outside with some neighbor kids but they have no respect for other adults. I try to tolerate them but its hard sometimes. A few days ago one of the little girls told me she needed a dollar well I turned around and told her to go ask her mother because I wasnt a bank. Well she walked away but a few minutes later she came back and asked how much money I had and I told her it was none of her damned business how much money I had. But it wasnt. Kids... My two would never ask some one that question. My two have more respect for other people than most kids do.

This Last Saturday Night.

I was so happy with myself this last Saturday night at work.

A co workers mother had to go to the hospital so he couldnt come in and another worker came in but she only works in the evenings till close so she isnt used to our over nights. But anyway she was suppose to keep up with the fryer and I was doing the Burger meat. Well for some dang reason she couldnt keep up with the Fryer. Well another lady I work with suggested this one goes up front and does the French Fries so the manager looks at me asks if I think I can keep up.

Well I did better than that really. It was busy and I had trays full all the time. I was so proud of myself and I impressed the manager. I told Jeff what I did and he said it would have taken most people a year or more to be able to keep up like that. I am so proud of my achievements. But then at about 3:45 I was asked to come Present the food and collect for the front people and the fill in was doing my dishes but then I was asked to go wash the French Fry Station and then the fill in went up front and clocked out on me. I didnt know where I was suppose to be and I finally broke.

I cried. I was so fustrated. The manager told me to just go home and they would finish my dishes and I told her NO. She looks at me and says HUH??? I said NO. I have to learn how to do this just need to know where you want me.. She apologized up and down and then yelled at the one lady for yelling at me all night. Long story there really.

I am not using names for that purpose. You just never know when they will look things up and find my blog. Anyway that is my most and biggest achievement for work lately. Talk to you all soon. I made rounds today and will make them tomorrow again before work. I have today off since I worked last night.
